NM Inmates Escape

Eight NM inmates escaped from a county jail by cutting a hole in the roof with handmade tools near the skylight. Check out the story here.

I love the blurbs at the bottom about past escapes - in July, a female inmate escaped by hiding in a food cart (the article just says that she hid a food cart, but I think that's a typo b/c otherwise I can't see how that would help her). And in 2006 an inmate slipped out a door and wasn't missed for two days. ha! clearly they're running a tight ship down in NM...
